At Village Animal Hospital we offer vaccines for your pet Monday through Saturday.
We offer discounted vaccines on our Vaccine Clinic days!
Tuesdays 8am – 12pm & 2pm-8pm
Thursdays 8 am – 12pm & 2pm – 6pm
Beginning Thursday October the 7th we will be open until 8pm every Thursday!
Before vaccinating your pet we want to make they’re up-to-date on their annual examination.
If you’re not sure, give us a call because your pet may be eligible for a “Healthy Pet Complimentary Exam”.

What vaccines do our veterinarians recommend for your dog?
Our veterinarians recommend the following vaccines for your dog:
1. Bordetella- We want every puppy to get their bordetella vaccine at 9 weeks of age, or older.
Once the dog is one year or older, we recommend updating the bordetella vaccine once a year.
The bordetella vaccine protects your dog against “kennel cough”, inflammation of the upper
respiratory system. This is a highly contagious canine illness, which can be contracted through any
exposure to another dog that has “kennel cough”.
2. DHPP- A puppy should receive a DHPP vaccine every 3-4 weeks from the age of 8 weeks,
up until they are 16 weeks old. Once the dog is an adult, we recommend the DHPP be given
once every 3 years.
The DHPP stands for D – Distemper, H- Hepatitis, P- Para influenza, and P- Parvovirus.
Hepatitis and Para influenza can have life long negative impacts on your pet, while Parvo and
Distemper are often fatal illnesses. These illnesses can be avoided by keeping your pet current
on they’re DHPP vaccine. Rabies- The Rabies vaccine should be given to every puppy at the age of 16 weeks.
Once the dog is an adult, the vaccine can be updated once every 3 years.
The Rabies vaccine protects your pet from contracting the rabies virus.
It is also required by law to keep your pet’s rabies vaccine updated.
